What to include in your sourcing request

Trailer and coupling

Trailer type, coupling requirements and intended combined load. Ask for fifth-wheel, air-line and electrical-connection checks on the proposed unit.

Route and configuration

Destination, gradients, road surface, daily distance and axle restrictions. Confirm the proposed drive type, engine, gearbox and axle specification.

Condition and service

Acceptable year and condition, inspection scope and local parts support. Ask for dated unit photos, cold-start video, service records where available and unresolved defects.

Quotation scope

Quantity, budget, destination port and delivery term. Separate the vehicle, agreed repairs, inland transport, shipping, insurance and destination charges.

Evidence to confirm before ordering

For a tractor head, add fifth-wheel and trailer-connection findings to the engine, transmission, chassis, brake, steering and tire inspection. Match every photo and finding to the same proposed vehicle; a model specification does not establish that unit's condition.

Ask for a dated written offer identifying the actual unit, unresolved defects and included work. Confirm destination import eligibility with your local broker before committing; neither a reference model nor a sourcing discussion proves availability or legal eligibility.
